OH JOY! A GRAPHIC DESIGN, BULLY-FREE ZONE
“Giving you Marketing and Design with no surprises …
unless you consider great artwork and personable, one-on-one
customer service a surprise!”
Developing beautifully informative, innovative and personal communications for Solopreneurs in Self Improvement and Women’s Health, as well as Catholic Media Professionals. My mission is to provide design with heart! In a world of digital
everything, it is extremely important to make that emotional connection through pops of color, imagery that shows care and concern for humanity and content that is rich with information. Do you need an original illustration to bring your marketing piece to the next level? I can do that. Absolutely!
Believe me, I know what is out there in terms of graphic design. I have heard the same
story replayed over and over (it has even happened to me) and it goes like this:
“My brother’s friend just graduated from college and said he’d do my website for a great price, but there was no contract and I recently found out that he got a new job. He won’t return my calls AND he bought the domain name and put it in HIS name. What do I do?”
“I am working with a designer and when I want to make any changes to the logo design he gives me a hard time.”
I was originally just a print designer, until I needed a website and experienced both examples I described above. I put complete trust in a web developer that was an acquaintance. Since I had no experience with web design, I left it all up to him. Then I started to feel bullied. I canceled our verbal agreement and quickly found out that my domain name was owned by this person and they stopped answering calls and emails.
So I took the bull by the horns, so to speak, and learned WordPress customization. Fast forward four years and I am happy to be able to provide unique, creative solutions for the web. I can also use my experience to help others by providing impeccable customer service, so they don’t go through what I did. If you have already been through this hard lesson, I sympathize! But here at MorningStar, each project is a team effort and no question is too silly to ask. And if I don’t know the answer, I will point you to someone that does.
